Hebron is the largest Palestinian city after Gaza and it is one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the world! The city is also known as the burial place of the prophets; the Ibrahimi Mosque (Tomb of the Patriarchs) which you will visit during this tour. You will also walk in the old city, enjoy a home cooked meal and visit a textile factory that produces Keffiyehs which is recognized now widely as a symbol of Palestinian nationalism. Learn how to blow glass; a centuries-old tradition and how to paint on Palestinian produced ceramics. You can get your own plate or mug made with intricate detail of flower and arabesque patterns! We will also visit the village of Atwani and learn about the impact of settlement building and the village of Susia and see the standards of living for the Bedouins there. A tour in Hebron won’t be complete without trying camel meat. We’ll let you find out how it tastes like!
