A passion for the history and geography of my land!

My Story

I am an artist (photographer and filmmaking) and a traveler. Being an artist has opened many doors for traveling to other countries. In turn those travels in have grown me as an artist. I have had the privilege to travel to 26 countries around the world—in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.

Before I entered the travel industry, I was a journalist working for both a news agency and a radio station. I chose to study journalism because I love being able to use my voice to influence people. When I can open someone’s eyes to a new way of thinking or teach them something new, it’s very rewarding. This was a natural path to later choosing to study to be a tour guide. I get to combine my love for being an influencer and communicator with a passion for the history and geography of my land—the Holy Land—and be able to share that with people from all over the world.

Why KOINONIA?

I am an explorer at heart. I love discovering new places. I believe travel opens our eyes to new experiences and different cultures, which enriches us as people.

 I would love for people to come here to the Holy Land for so many reasons. Of course, they will see holy sites and visit places they’ve only read about. I want people to go beyond that and taste our delicious cuisine and encounter our amazing culture. But mostly, visiting this land, my home, will break down the stereotypes of what people have heard about the Holy Land. Come and meet the people who live their lives here—the living stones—and encounter their spirit of hospitality and generosity.

Osama

Biography

Osama graduated with a BA in Multimedia from Al-Aroub Technical College and with a Diploma in Tourism at Bethlehem Bible College. He worked as a journalist at Palestine News Network and as a freelance news reporter, tour guide and photographer. He enjoys interviewing people, writing their stories and sharing the Palestinian culture. In his free time, Osama enjoys film making and theater dancing. Osama is one of the seven Co-Founders of Diyar Dance Theatre in Bethlehem.
