Defining and managing the expectations of our travelers is one of the most important jobs we do. We have learned that if we don’t set and define expectations, then our travelers, by default, will set their own, and “self imposed” expectations are very difficult to overcome. As an organization, we work hard with the leaders of our groups to define what success means; then we fulfill that vision throughout the entire project.
Informative and consistent communication to each participant in the group is so important towards their comfort level and the comfort level of their families, especially when traveling outside their country. We acknowledge this and send regular e-mail communications to update the traveling groups with developments in their trip as well as pertinent travel information and answers to Frequently Asked Questions. This takes the pressure off of the group leaders and helps to prepare each traveler for a trip-of-a-lifetime!
